Resonance Cast

Ravi Deo is an award-winning tabla artist and music composer.  He apprenticed in Hindustani music with late Pt. Rameshji Kumar for over 25 years, is well-regarded as a tabla soloist in the Pt Bansilalji parampara, and is appreciated for his collaborative versatility and sensitive accompaniment across several genres.  Deo’s informed experiences in ethnomusicology, intercultural performance, and contemporary Hindustani music led him to work as consultant master artist for Nickelodeon Television, record on several music albums, create original music for a variety of performance and video game platforms, guest lecture at Universities and Symphony Orchestras, and rhythmically support artists from musical cultures across the globe. 

Matthew Haramia is a versatile multipercussionist with over 13 years of experience across a wide range of percussion instruments. A dynamic performer, he has been playing drum set for 17 years, specializing in both rock and jazz styles—bringing 11 years of jazz drumming expertise to his work.

His orchestral experience includes performances with the Ventura College Orchestra, showcasing his adaptability in classical settings. Known for his easygoing nature and collaborative spirit, Matthew is a dedicated musician who thrives in diverse musical environments, whether on stage or in the studio.

A performer-composer on the R&B/Pop spectrum, Swara Seshan is a musician based between Los Angeles and Bengaluru. With influences ranging from Hindustani classical and bollywood music to international pop sensations, she translates her rollercoaster of experiences into inescapable ear-worms. 

Currently pursuing an MFA Performer-Composer at CalArts, Swara stirs the cauldron to serve her concoction of Hindustani-classical-seasoned R&B, Pop, and Melodic Rap as a sound that transcends cultural boundaries.

Alex Taylor is a saxophonist and vocalist comfortable working across many genres, but firmly rooted in jazz and contemporary music. He has a B.A. in Music from Dartmouth College, an M.A. in Teaching from University of the Pacific, and is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Jazz Studies from the prestigious CalArts in Los Angeles. 

In addition to performing and composing, he loves to teach and has spent nearly a decade working with students from ages 5-75 in schools, summer camps, performing ensembles, and private lessons.

Thomas Wandborg is a composer and guitarist from Northern Denmark. From  touring with jazz groups across Denmark, Sweden, Åland, Finland,  Greenland, and Germany to playing in award-winning indie rock bands, he  makes music that reflects the diverse background and direction of his  career. 

The foundation of his musical style draws substantially from  Nordic heritage and the simple beauty of Nordic songs and landscapes. He  was awarded JEN’s Young Composer Showcase Award in 2024, Berklee Gil  Evans Award in 2024, Berklee Guitar Achievement Award in 2023 and was  selected as a fellow to RSMI's Program for Jazz in 2022. Currently in  CalArt's MFA Jazz program, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Jazz  Composition and Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music as a full  tuition scholar.

Bob Haoyu Wang is a versatile music artist based in LA and Taiwan, who excels in clarinet performance, composing, arranging, and concert production.

He is pursuing a Master's degree in Performer-Composer at the California  Institute of the Arts where he studies composition, clarinet, and conducting.  He is the first Taiwanese national admitted to this major. At CalArts, he founded the CalArts Chamber Orchestra and conducted the premiere of his orchestral work “Ripples of Life”.

Bob Haoyu Wang is Ravi’s very cute roommate. He is a clarinetist from Taiwan.

Justin Clark Scheid is a composer, performer, sound artist, and production technician based in Los Angeles, California.

Justin  enjoys writing music for both acoustic and electronic mediums, often  collaborating with other artists to create unique environmental  experiences. In recent years, he has worked extensively with dancers  and choreographers to create both staged and immersive works. He has had  the honor to write and arrange music for Dance Aegis, Iris Company,  Heidi Duckler, Lawrence Blake, Julie Bour, and the Yorke Dance Project  for their 20th Anniversary Tour. He is also a co-founding member of the  sound and vision project Cannibalistic Caterpillar. 

As a  technician, Justin has worked throughout Orange County, Los Angeles and  Hollywood. While his speciality is audio, he has worked in every medium  of technical production in support of commercial and non-commercial  events. Outside of live production, Justin is also a museum and art  gallery preparator. Notable venues and events include REDCAT, OC Fair  & Event Center, MUZEO Museum and Cultural Center, Pasadena  Convention Center (Politcon 2017), KABC-TV (LA Martin Luther King Day  Parade 2019 and LA Pride Parade 2019), and The Hard Rock Hotel in Las  Vegas.
